Privacy Policy

Last Updated: December 9, 2025

Welcome to MiraVerse! We are deeply committed to protecting the privacy and safety of our users, especially children. This policy explains how we handle information in a way that respects your privacy rights under laws in Canada (PIPEDA), the United States (including COPPA and CCPA/CPRA), and the European Union (GDPR).

A Note for Kids!

MiraVerse is your world to explore! We want you to feel safe and have fun. We don’t ask for your full name, address, or phone number. If you use our contact form or newsletter, it’s best to ask a parent or guardian for help. Your adventures here are your own!

For Parents and Guardians

This section provides a detailed overview of our data practices. We strive for transparency and aim to collect as little information as possible.

What Information We Collect (and Why)

We collect information in a few specific situations:

  • Contact Form: If you contact us, we collect the name, email address, and message you provide. We only use this to respond to your inquiry. Our legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in communicating with our users.
  • Newsletter: If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address to send you updates. We only do this with your explicit consent. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • AI Content Enrichment: On our "Explore" page, we use a Generative AI model to enrich content. The text you enter is sent to our AI provider to generate the new content. We do not store this text, but it is processed by our provider. Do not enter any personal information into this feature.
  • Analytics (Anonymized): We automatically collect anonymous data about website traffic, such as which pages are visited most. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you. It helps us understand how to improve MiraVerse for everyone.

What We DON'T Collect

We are a Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) compliant service. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. We do not require account creation to use our site, and we do not track users across other websites.

Cookie Policy

Cookies are small files stored on your computer that help a website function. We use a minimal number of cookies:

  • Essential Cookies: These are necessary for the site to work, for example, to remember that you've successfully completed a game. They do not track you.
  • Analytics Cookies: These help us understand site usage anonymously.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but it may affect how MiraVerse functions.

Your Data Protection Rights

Depending on your location, you have rights over your personal data:

  • Right to Access: You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you.
  • Right to Rectification: You can ask us to correct inaccurate information.
  • Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): You can ask us to delete your information.
  • Right to Restrict Processing: You can ask us to temporarily stop using your information.
  • Right to Data Portability: You can ask for a transferable copy of your data.
  • Right to Object: You can object to us using your data for certain purposes.

To exercise these rights, please contact our Data Privacy Officer at privacy@miraverse.studio.

Anti-Spam Policy

We are committed to complying with anti-spam legislation, including Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). We will only send you newsletter emails if you have explicitly subscribed. Every email will contain a clear and simple "unsubscribe" link.

Data Security & International Transfer

We use standard technical measures to protect the information we hold. MiraVerse is operated in the United States, and your information may be processed and stored there. We ensure that any data transfer complies with international privacy laws.
